Age limit

- UR/EWS: born between 2 January 1994 and 1 January 2007
- Relaxation: OBC-NCL 3 years, SC/ST 5 years, plus service-based relaxation for eligible railway staff and ex-servicemen (highest applicable relaxation only)

How to apply
- Visit the official portal rrbapply.gov.in and register.
- Fill the online application form by 25 November 2026, 11:59 PM.
- Pay the fee by 27 November 2026 through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
- Keep your Aadhaar-seeded bank account valid, as the fee refund is credited there.
- Check and correct details during the window from 28 November to 7 December 2026.

Selection Process
Selection has four stages: a Computer Based Test (CBT), a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), document verification and a medical examination. CBT marks carry 70% weightage and CBAT carries 30%. Candidates must score a minimum T-score of 42 in each CBAT battery, with no category relaxation.

The CBT lasts 120 minutes. One-third of the marks of a question are deducted for each wrong answer.
How to Prepare
Step 1: Revise the notified maths and science topics, such as number system, percentages, profit and loss, algebra, geometry, and data interpretation.
Step 2: Practise logical capability, including syllogism, clocks and calendars, blood relations, and English reading comprehension.
Step 3: Practise mental reasoning, including analogy, series completion, coding and decoding, and ranking. Take timed mock tests to manage the 120-minute limit.
