For AILET 2027, check programme eligibility, prepare clear document files, complete the form carefully and verify payment and submission. NLU Delhi lists 10 November 2026 as the application deadline and 13 December as exam day. Keep the official FAQ and guidelines beside you; the checklist below helps organise your work.
Which official dates should you put in your calendar?
The official FAQ lists applications from 7 August to 10 November 2026 and the examination on 13 December, 2–4 pm. Check the portal again before submission in case a later notice changes the schedule. Set your personal completion target several days before the deadline, leaving time to resolve a payment or document problem. A saved draft is not proof of a submitted application.
What should you prepare before starting?
Create a folder for your school records, photograph, signature and applicable category documents. Use the official programme eligibility page to check your situation before paying. Match personal particulars to the records requested by NLU Delhi. Keep an accessible email address and mobile number, and store login information privately. Do not send passwords or application documents to unofficial counselling groups.
The official upload guidelines allow JPG, JPEG or PNG photos and signatures up to 1 MB each. Use a clear photograph with a white background and a legible signature on white paper. Conditional documents such as BPL, foreign-national passport or disability evidence have separate requirements; check whether they apply and the current file limits. Keep original documents available for later verification.
How can you catch mistakes before paying?
Review one section at a time. Compare your name and birth date with the relevant record, check your programme choice and category, then inspect uploaded previews. Zoom in: a file that opens successfully can still be unreadable. Write a review list with three columns: field, source record and checked. Avoid rushing through all fields in one final glance.
If a category choice is uncertain, resolve it through the official instructions or help desk before submitting. Advice from a friend whose circumstances differ is not a substitute for the relevant rule. This checklist does not determine your eligibility or tell you to claim a category.
What is your payment and submission checklist?
The official FAQ lists a ₹3,000 fee, ₹1,000 for SC/ST/PWD applicants and specified BPL exemptions. Check your applicable category on the portal. Pay through its authorised flow and retain the acknowledgement. Reopen the submitted form, confirm its status and save the application number and a readable copy. If payment is debited but status is unresolved, check official support instructions before repeating payment.
What should you do after submission?
Record when you last checked the official portal, keep copies in two private locations and set reminders for admit-card and exam instructions. Plan travel only after you confirm your assigned centre. Keep preparation and application administration separate: a weekly ten-minute application check should not consume your daily study time. At counselling, the original documents and applicable rules matter; upload acceptance alone does not establish admission eligibility.
