SSC GD Constable 2027: Notification, Vacancies, Eligibility, Pattern & Syllabus
SSC GD Constable is the Staff Selection Commission's recruitment for constables in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles, SSF and NCB. Class 10 pass candidates aged 18–23 can apply. Selection: online CBT (80 questions, 160 marks), PET/PST, medical. SSC GD 2026 had 25,487 posts with forms in December 2025; the SSC GD 2027 notification is expected in November–December 2026.

80 questions, 160 marks, 60 minutes, bilingual (13 languages). 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying: 30% General, 25% OBC/EWS, 20% SC/ST.
PET and PST standards
- Run: men 5 km in 24 minutes; women 1.6 km in 8½ minutes (Ladakh: 1.6 km / 800 m).
- Height: men 170 cm, women 157 cm (ST 162.5/150; hill areas and North-East relaxed).
- Chest (men): 80 cm unexpanded, 5 cm expansion.
SSC GD syllabus
- Reasoning: analogies, similarities, spatial visualisation, series, coding-decoding, arithmetic reasoning, Venn diagrams.
- GK: India and neighbours, sports, history, culture, geography, economy, polity, constitution, scientific research, current affairs.
- Maths: number system, whole numbers, decimals, fractions, percentage, ratio, averages, interest, profit-loss, discount, mensuration, time-distance, time-work.
- English/Hindi: comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction, synonyms, antonyms.
How to prepare in 3 months
- Class 10 Maths (NCERT) chapter by chapter; 30 questions a day with a timer.
- Lucent GK + daily current affairs; revise state capitals, rivers, awards, sports.
- Run every alternate day from today: aim for 5 km in 22 minutes before the PET.
- Solve the 2024 and 2026 SSC GD papers (all shifts) and take a mock every 3 days.

SSC GD 2027 ka notification kab aayega?
Expected November–December 2026 (SSC GD 2026 registration December 2025 me khuli thi, last date 31 December 2025). CBT January–March 2027 me expected hai.
SSC GD ke liye age limit kya hai?
18–23 years as on 1 January 2027 for SSC GD 2027 (expected: born 2 January 2004 to 1 January 2009). OBC +3 years, SC/ST +5 years.
SSC GD me kitne questions aate hain?
80 questions, 160 marks, 60 minutes: Reasoning, GK, Maths and English/Hindi, 20 questions each. 0.25 negative marking.
SSC GD ke liye qualification kya hai?
Class 10 (matriculation) pass from a recognised board. No percentage condition.
