SSC CHSL (10+2 level) recruits Lower Division Clerk / Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operator in central government offices. Class 12 pass candidates aged 18–27 can apply. Selection: Tier 1 CBT (100 questions, 200 marks), Tier 2 CBT with typing/DEO skill test. SSC CHSL 2026 Tier 1 is on 30 November – 31 December 2026 for 2,536 posts.

Tier 1 has 0.5 negative marking and only shortlists candidates. Tier 2 Session I marks decide the final merit.
SSC CHSL syllabus (Tier 1)
- English: spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling, idioms, one-word substitution, sentence improvement, active/passive, direct/indirect, para jumbles, cloze test, comprehension.
- Reasoning: semantic and figural analogy, classification, series, coding-decoding, problem solving, word building, Venn diagrams, non-verbal (paper folding, embedded figures).
- Quantitative Aptitude: number system, percentage, ratio, averages, interest, profit-loss, time-work, time-distance, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, statistics (DI).
- General Awareness: history, culture, geography, economy, polity, science, current affairs.
How to score 160+ in Tier 1
- Maths and Reasoning are the scoring sections: 25 questions each in under 15 minutes needs daily practice of PYQs (2022–2025).
- English: one grammar rule a day + 20 vocabulary words; solve the last 3 years' cloze tests.
- GA: Lucent + the last 6 months of current affairs; 30 minutes a day.
- Start typing practice now; many candidates lose the job at the skill test.

SSC CHSL 2026 Tier 1 exam kab hai?
SSC ke notice (1 October 2026) ke anusaar Tier 1 exam 30 November se 31 December 2026 tak hoga. Admit card exam se 3–4 din pehle aata hai.
SSC CHSL ke liye age limit kya hai?
18–27 years (for CHSL 2026, as on 1 January 2026). OBC +3 years, SC/ST +5 years.
SSC CHSL me kaunse post milte hain?
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) in Pay Level 2 and Data Entry Operator (DEO) in Level 4/5, in central ministries and departments.
SSC CHSL me negative marking kitni hai?
Tier 1: 0.5 marks per wrong answer. Tier 2 Session I: 1 mark per wrong answer.
SSC CHSL 2027 ka form kab aayega?
SSC usually releases the CHSL notification between May and July. SSC CHSL 2027 notification is expected around June 2027; set an alert on this page.
Typing test kitna zaroori hai?
Qualifying but mandatory: LDC/JSA 35 words per minute in English or 30 in Hindi; DEO 8,000 key depressions per hour. Practise from day one.
